Berlin is without any doubt also the musical capital of Germany and since generations it is a real magnet for many international and national musicians.
During the big multi media Bus Tour we’re ranging a period of over 40 years of Berlin Music History and Present Scene. International pop stars, bands and artists like David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Brian Eno, U2, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright, Peaches, Ritchie Hawtin, Pet Shop Boys, R.E.M., Snow Patrol, The Hives, Kele Okereke from Bloc Party, Fran Healy from Travis and many others were connected or are still connected with Berlin.
Berlin bands like Rammstein or Seeed, Berlin icons like Nina Hagen or Berliners like WestBam, Paul van Dyk or Nena are part of this tour. Where and how was their music created, what influenced them, where did they live and partied in the city?
We also document the colourful Club Scene of Berlin like the moving history of world famous Love Parade, Club legends like the old and new Tresor Club (The Vault) or indestructible SO36 Club, the still exceptional Techno temple Berghain or former Knaack Club where Rammstein grew up are part of this tour.
Legendary recording studios and favourite bars, pubs or restaurants used by artists, bands and makers of the Berlin music scene are checked and we always have the best recent live concert advices for your nightlife or clubbing in the city.
Our multi media Bus Tour is hosted by a Berlin Music Guide. We drive the tours with extra DVD busses using different bus sizes, depending on the final group size. During the drive there are interviews shown we did extra for the music tours with various artists and musicians, makers of the Berlin Music Scene. They tell entertaining and fun stories and anecdotes, give away private details of their Berlin experiences and talk about their musical work with artists and bands. These interviews and video sequences are screened on monitors in the tour bus while we drive through the city or stop on certain points.
On the regular route we drive from Brandenburg Gate to Potsdamer Platz area und head on to Alexanderplatz, further into Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain districts, passing Eastside Gallery and East Haven, drive through Kreuzberg’s old SO36 and SW61 postcodes to Schöneberg, direction Kleistpark and Nollendorfplatz via Charlottenburg and Wilmersdorf districts back to Tiergarten and Mitte districts ending around Brandenburg Gate again.
